Commercial Collection Agency Services
Commercial Collection Agency exclusively handles business-to-business (B2B) debt collection. We specialize in collecting debts from corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and proprietorships. Additionally, we pursue collections against individuals who are personally liable for business debt, such as those who signed a personal guaranty, own a proprietorship, allowed their corporation status to lapse, or engaged in fraudulent activities. Our dedicated focus on commercial collections is a key contributor to our impressive 85% success rate. (If you require assistance with consumer collections, we offer referrals here).
B2B Collection Claim Sizes
We manage claims of varying sizes, ranging from $1,000 to $1 million. The initial claim must be at least $10,000, with the average claim size also exceeding $10,000 (though we extend courtesy services for smaller claims to our regular clients). Our unparalleled expertise particularly shines in handling large claims.
Dean Kaplan personally oversees all significant claims, bringing to the table 30 years of business and negotiation experience. With a track record of closing over $500 million in transactions across 40 countries, he is widely recognized as an industry expert. Dean frequently presents at credit management conferences and is a published author in industry publications.
Our Commercial Debt Collection Process
For a detailed overview of our collection agency process, please visit the “How We Work” page and view our videos on the debt collection process and handling large claims. As part of our debt collection process, we offer the following services:
In House Law Firm
If our collection agency efforts fail to yield the desired outcomes, accounts are subsequently “placed” with our in-house law firm. Under the law firm’s name, a thorough debt collection effort is initiated, exerting significant additional pressure on the debtor. This distinctive aspect of our agency has proven to be a valuable tool in our collection process. Importantly, there is no additional cost to our clients for utilizing these services—the contingency rate remains the same as if we were collecting under our agency name.
Furthermore, our in-house law firm oversees attorney forwarding and handles litigation matters.
Background Investigation
This involves gaining insight into the debtor, including the business entity, its ownership structure, and its employees. We aim to assess their size, tenure in business, and overall performance. Additionally, we conduct background investigations on owners, managers, and employees as necessary. The debt collector utilizes this information to devise a strategy and engage in negotiations with the debtor.
Skip Tracing
At times, companies appear to vanish. We conduct thorough research to either verify their cessation of operations or locate them at a new location, potentially operating under different names or contact details. We also pursue owners, either due to their personal liability for the business debt or to confirm business closure. Our research methods may involve locating and reaching out to relatives, neighbors, and landlords, as well as procuring working phone numbers and home addresses for the individual in question.
